Toreador y Toro - Final
About the author
Zdeněk Janda is a painter born on June 5, 1953 in Louny. He studied under Prof. Vlastimil Květenský from 1968 to 1972, and then with doc. Zdenek Sýkora until 1974. Since 1988, he has been creating allegorical still lifes, adapting painting techniques to achieve detailed designs.
In his paintings, Zdeněk Janda uses his imagination to create new shapes, often incorporating motifs of puppets, stone mountains, sand, wood, and metal. He aims to create something lasting and permanent in the midst of a world of sudden changes.
To complete his artwork, the artist uses unique self-built frames made of various natural materials related to the image, which provide both physical protection and psychological distance from the surroundings.
